Why You Should Take That  SOLO Trip

I have a list of dream destinations (as most of you do as well) and one of them was, you guessed it, Italy! I always waited for the stars to align before I take this trip: I wanted to travel with the people I care about the most, and visit the Italian towns I have heard about all while being financially ready to do so, however that time never seemed to come. I decided to make it all happen for myself summer of 2016 and I have to tell you, traveling to Italy solo was by far the best decision I’ve ever made… well, besides moving across the world to work in the UAE! If you are wanting to take the leap but you’re just too scared to do it, here are some reasons why you should:

  • It will give you a chance to get to know what kind of an adventurer you are, whether you like to wine and dine yourself or go out and hike on your own!
  • It will make you open to talking to COMPLETE strangers! I asked so many people for help when I was in Italy. People are willing to help you and some will be your tour guide for free!

  • You will learn to trust yourself and your decisions in life.
  • You will meet new friends and make new connections and believe it or not those friendships will last when effort is put in! I did a tour group during my stay and I still talk to many of those people in the group. You form a bond with these people and it makes the trip that much more special!
  • You become more independent!  You realize that you don’t need your girls or your boyfriend or your family to do something that you want to do.  It’s good enough reason that you simply want to do it!

  • You learn to pack the important things… you realize that YOU are the only one on the trip and YOU are the one that has to drag those suitcases around and YOU realize quickly what’s important to you!
  • Complete immersion in the culture. You learn more, ask more and pay attention to details more when there is no one there to speak your language. You start to pick up the native language pretty quickly so you can start interacting with the locals!
  • Whether you want to or not you become a role model to others that have been wanting to travel alone but have been too scared to do so. You become an inspiration to friends and family and encourage others to chase after what they want.

Moral of the story, take the trip!

Travel mode is taken forward for the success of the themes. The induction of the mode is produced with the help of the officers. The engagement is openly announced for the humans in life.
