My name is Reema and I have two loves, the first would be traveling.
I have to admit though, I wasn’t always this way. Once upon a time, I was scared. I was scared to travel and I was scared that I would never be able to do it because let’s face it, traveling is not cheap and dreams are usually farfetched.
I am originally Lebanese, lived in Qatar for eight years then moved to the beautiful land of Wisconsin (the beer and cheese state). After two years of teaching I realized that I simply was not happy with my 9 to 5 lifestyle and began looking for teaching jobs online.
Long story short, I am now in the United Arab Emirates, working and traveling to countries that were only in pictures.
I am firm believer that if you don’t like something, change it! That is exactly what I did! I am so happy that I made my decision to move, in hopes of being a happier person and chasing after my over-all goal in life which is to travel!! 32 countries later and I feel like I have only touched the surface. I want to see it all, I truly believe that travel is the only thing that gives a perspective on how others live, different cultures and views on how simple things can truly be.
My second love would be fitness. I am a certified personal trainer working on becoming the best version of myself. Sometimes I fulfill the expectations of a "good day" and sometimes I fail miserably. It's a lifestyle that I work on but always with balance! I started on my fitness journey when I was 13 and fell in love with working out and the feeling of working harder to be better. I had lost 30 pounds in a span of 3 months which is to date one of my greatest accomplishments. I have not only kept the weight off but I have maintained a healthy lifestyle ever since. Once you see results, I gotta say, you become somewhat of an addict to the feeling (much like traveling). Whether its lifting five more kilos than average, or losing some kilos on the scale the point is that YOU did that and no one will understand the hard work accomplished more than you!
On this blog, I will be sharing my adventures and hopefully inspiring you to plan some of your own all while living a healthier lifestyle! I will share some tips on traveling as well as personal experiences about some of my favorite countries. I will also share health and workout tips that I have learned from becoming a personal trainer. Some of my favorite memories is being active and exploring cities on my own, and the best part of traveling and fitness is that both of these things make you stronger, happier and healthier person. So join me on my journey in travelling the world and get inspired to become the happiest and healthiest version of yourself.
